What Questions Should I Ask When I Meet a Coordinator?

 

 


Q.  How long have you been a wedding coordinator?

A.  I have been In the Wedding business for over 5 years. I have been in the floral business for over 10 years.

 

Q.  What coordinating organization do you belong to and are you certiified?

A.  I am certified by the American Academy of Wedding Professionals.

  
Q.  How do you charge? (percentage, flat fee, hourly)

A.  We have package pricing, ala' carte pricing and on a percentage basis.


Q.  How much will you charge us for the services we need?

A.  The price we charge you will be based upon what services you need. 


Q.  How many times will we meet and how long will each meeting last?

A.  Based upon your needs we can meet as much as once a month or as little as once every two months. With meetings lasting 1 hour.


Q.  Will you meet with our vendors and look over their contracts?
A.  Based on the services you choose we can meet with you and your vendors and look at your contract.

 

Q.  Are you computer literate and do you own a computer? 
A.  I am computer oriented and pretty well organized I also travel with my laptop.

 

Q.  Do you have a backup in case of emergency and can't make our wedding and who are they? 
A.  We have a staff that can do several events in one weekend.

 

Q.  Will you be at our rehearsal and is there an extra charge for this? 
A.  Based on your needs we may be at your rehearsal.

 

Q.  How will you be dressed? 
A. The dress is casual and comfortable.

 

Q.  Can you help plan a wedding within our budget?
A.  We can plan a wedding on the smallest of budgets.

 

Q.  Are you a registered business? 

A.  Simply Weddings is a registered business. We have our vendor’s license and professional certification.


Q.  Have you worked at our venue before?
A.  We have worked at many different venues.

 

Q.  Have you worked with our vendors before?
A.  We have worked with many different vendors and love to meet new people.

 

 

Q.  Will you contact our vendors before the wedding?
A.  Based upon your needs we will be in contact with you vendors on a regular basis.

 

Q.  Is there an extra charge for phone calls and e-mail correspondence between us?
A.  There is no extra charge for phone calls and/or emails between us, provided they are not excessive.

 

Q.  Do you have a preferred vendors list?
A.  We have a preferred vendors list, but always willing to meet and work with new people.

 

Q.  If our officiant can't make it, will you direct our rehearsal?
A.  We can direct your rehearsal.

 

Q.  Can you handle last minute changes and emergencies?
A.  Our motto is “Worry-free and hassle-free services are just a phone call away.

 

Q.  What is the deposit requirement?
A.  The deposit requirement is 40% non-refundable.  Which will be added to your wedding.

 

Q.  If we cancel our contract, will we get all or any of our deposit back?
A.  Based on your needs we can work things out. 

 

Q.  What time do you arrive on the wedding day and what time do you leave?
A.  Based upon your needs we may arrive as early as two hours before your ceremony and leave one hour after.

 

Q.  If we give you the payments for our other vendors, will you pay them?
A.  Based upon your needs we may be able to give your vendors monies.

 

Q.  Are you discreet or are you like Martin Short from the movie "Father of the

Bride"?
A.  Although I like the movie “Father of the Bride”, I love “The Wedding Planner” more, yes, Simply Weddings is discreet.
